Where was the car parked at the time of the break-in? Were other vehicles in the vicinity broken into also?
Was there damage to the car? Will your insurance company cover the losses?
Have you made a police report yet? If so, what are they going to do about it?
Again, sorry to hear about that. Fortunately, I've never had any of my vehicles broken into here, but I can understand and appreciate the aggravation of someone to whom something like that has happened. -
my monster tackle box has about 100 lures in it, each one about C$10 each .....

thing is, I dunno where exactly .....
dearling and I were at a the university science park yesterday night (catching monkeys) ...... and since it was late and deserted, we didn't lock the car, we got back and drove straight home .... where I never lock any of my cars cos it's a good neighbourhood ..... nobody on the street does ......
this morning I got into the car to drive to work and I couldn't find my oakleys in the glove box .... and then I discovered the other losses ....
they even swiped all my coins ... I couldn't even visit the snack machine today .... -

Good neighbourhood or not, it's usually normal practice to lock one's vehicle when it is parked or otherwise unattended. Again, I'm sorry for your loss, but, to be totally honest, you do bear a large portion of the responsibility by not locking the vehicle. You might also have a hard time convincing your insurance company to cover the losses.

Erm... look on the bright side... at least they didn't smash your windows to get to those stuff, and at least they didn't steal your car... erm... heh yeah.. heheh...

yeah ... some were very sentimental to her .... and many could not be replaced here, cos she has this thing for japanese and mandarin songs (not that she understands either language) ....
and you can't buy those CDs here ....
and there was more than C$1000 worth of CDs in there ... and the oakleys were bought in Singapore, for S$240 ..... -
poor fatum. but must say. you didn't lock your car!!!!

my car is parked right outside my house on the streets, and since it's a quiet and respectable neighbourhood in s respectable part of town, nobody locks their cars .... kids play on the streets un-supervised, lawn mowers and bikes are left unchained on the streets .....

maybe you can try searching ebay or something to see whether he put the CD's up for sale. -
he'll most likely just junk the CDs .... highly unlikely he'll know who Jay chou is, or even understand mandarin at all .....

The officer was sympathetic, but told me straight off that I'll just have to suck it up ..... it's unlikely anything will come out of it ....
