well if you did not make it to Ripely don't discourage. I suggest you plan a trip to Huntington garden instead next spring. It is a better choice
right now u might want to consider Riley farms to pick apple and have BBQ ribs its a nice day out there. -

The chicken was so tender and the cravy so thick and flavourful. It is operated by a Singaporean/Malaysian. Salivating now just thinking about it...... but frozen prata is no where near the freshly-made ones lah! -

So as it turns out, this event is every Sat, at the same location, from 10am to 2pm.
I have to say, the food is really good. We stayed there til the vendors started packing. Bought more items to go as well.
One vendor has absolutely the best beef rendang I have ever tasted. Before I could get some to go, they sold out!
Here's a pic. Beef rendang, nasi kuning, fish, ikan bilis + peanuts = US$6.
Satays. Generous amount of chicken on each skewer, garnished with fried garlic. Includes two Ketuput (not shown) and peanut sauce. Also, ice kacang in the background. I was a happy man today.

i read in a blog that someone overseas asked for chwee kuehs when friends went over to visit
becos u can always find chicken rice, laksa, wanton mee overseas but u will nvr find chwee kuehs -
