Summer Blues...

I love summer but with summer comes the supremely annoying housefly. I cannot tell you how many I have killed. *swat!*
Thankfully we don't have a mosquito problem here because it's so hot and dry. No chance for standing water for them to breed.
What about your neck of the woods? What kind of summer pestilence do you have? -

.... I thought I've seen the worst when I was in NS, but I was wrong ! .....
followed by suicidal wildlife ... kamikaze gophers, porcupines, rabbits and bambis that like to dash across the road right when you car approaches ....

Ants....they are coming into the house in colonies! At all corners of the house!
It doesnt help that the house is carpeted and the kids has been dropping food bits all over the house. -

Erm, other than walking out of the house without a jacket, me no like summer. Never a fan to begin with.
I like Spring or the Fall.
Summer blues? Hmm....not much as I don't go out that much. I am an indoor person. But bees like our Rubbermaid shed. Built hives a few times. We used pine sol to kill it and it works. And guess what? It seems the smell of pine sol lingers on so the bees didn't return.
Other bugs like spiders, lady bugs come out to greet summer too. Flies, we don't get too many. Mossies? Hmm....not here ah. Maybe elsewhere bah.
That's why I don't like having bbq sessions. Gotta sit around patio area. We eat bbq and bugs eat us.

Without them, we wouldn't have fruit and flowers.
