Winter jacket. That friend of mine I mentioned, she has to put on a couple of extra layers while in the house. When outdoors, you need to bundle up so a scarf and gloves would be good too. I run on the cold side so I tend to layer to stay warm.Originally posted by deathscythe99:Ahems...

A good winter jacket made of polartec is good. It isn't bulky and allows you freedom of movement. Too bad I live on another continent or I'd let you borrow the hubby's. -

Hmms...how about multi-purpose outerlayers like Goretex Jackets or those Timberland jackets?? -

I recommend old navy or the gap or banana republic ....nice, cheap and good ....
if you want to splurge, or if you'll be there for some time, get yourself a good jacket by north face or salomon or arcteryx etc ... expect to pay around $400 to $800 for one of those, but it'll last you a life time ....
(*note: about those puffa-style jackets, unless you're takuya kimura or someone who can pull it off, avoid those ... not only will you look like a big wrapped dumpling, those are also NOT breathable ... ) -

Eindhoven is unlikely to be as expensive as other cities like London and Paris. Tell us when you're departing, there might be a end-of-season sale then (and there will be one in Australia this coming August).

Cos I've not confirmed the date of departure but likely to confirm it on Thurs.
The problem I also have now is that I'm thinking whether to get a full year or half-year ticket, as I'm unsure of my chances of getting an IA there...so anyone with companies over there can help?

I'm told I should get something which is like those lor...dunno if you guys have heard of Marmot before...selling for 270 SGD for a Wind-resistant, Goretex-like material...
