I am sure most of us, especially overseas, are pressured in some ways by the families to buy a HDB flat in Singapore and rent it out to generate income.
Do provide the pros and cons.
If you treat it as a retirement nest, why not? Let people pay for your flat.
Say you get a 20-30 years loan, by the time you have fully paid up, you will be in retirement age. Sell it and enjoy life.
Cons? You've got to keep finding a tenant over 20-30 years.
i think it depend whether if you have a lot to pay off from your CPF? or is there any other intend to use that money?
use your caculator wisely. i was asked the same questions but i decline.
