You want hot weather, you've got hot weather. How about 81°F? That's how hot it got here in the Twin Cities today. Apparently, we exceeded the previous all-time high for this day of the year by a comfortable 10°F.

Suddenly cold and suddenly hot when I take the kids out for a walk.
its kinda difficult to be taking off the jacket of a sleeping toddler saddled at your tatas when it suddenly turns too hot during a walk. -
it's gone back to single digit!!!
but can be lovely with a light jacket. at least the sun is smiling although i don't really care much of it.
my tulips are sprouting and can't wait to finally see colours in my yard! -

Talk about freaky weather, we had hail two days ago. Imagine that! They were pellet-sized though, so no damage done. Lasted like 10 mintues total and then it poured.

We're back to more "normal" weather up here, i.e., 40s and 50s. Additionally, it's been pretty cloudy and gloomy the past few days.
We're definitely planning another trip to Seattle sometime this spring. This time, however, we'll set aside the time to circumnavigate the Olympic Peninsula--something we didn't do on the last visit as we underestimated the time and distance of such a trip. Of course, we'll also be bumming around the sound on the ferries! A side trip to Vancouver will probably be out of the question, as we didn't really enjoy that city.
What about you? Any travel plans for spring? -
I'm wondering if you'd like to see Eastern Washington? There's a town called Winthrop that's really quaint. You'd have to drive over the mountains to get to it and it's a very scenic drive. Have you visited Snoqualmie? That's where Twin Peaks was filmed. You can hike to the base of Snoqualmie Falls, it's quite a sight from below. There is a lodge called the Salish Lodge at the top of the falls where you can enjoy the view. I tried looking for the famous cherry pie but each time we head up there, we always spend too much time at the falls with no time left for anything else. If you'd like to sample things Washingtonian, check out www.madeinwashington.com. Order yourself some of the famous fair scones for only $4.99. Or you could wait till the summer and visit the Puyallup Fair and sample them there hot from the oven. I've gabbed your ear off about Washington so I'll stop here.
For us, we were thinking of heading up to Mammoth or Big Bear for a spot of skiing and snowboarding. Been promising the kids that we'd go since we moved here and have to make good on that. Did you know that they make their own snow at Big Bear? I didn't know that until I heard their commercials. -
