My colleague say spring will be the best time for travel..maybe summer is a holiday for students, thats y many wants to travel at that time...And my colleague is planning to bring us to utah this weekend...yah~! But the problem is I have to drive for 5 hours...

Agreed. Try to find someone to share in the driving. Additionally, you could plan the route to include a mix of Interstate and county road driving.
