she's fine for getting to and fro school and for assorted errands, but she's showing her age ... I have to drive more than half an hour to and fro work every day, I need something more reliable than her ...
I'll miss her though ... going to pretty her up and sell it to another student who'll find her useful ...
it's a plymouth acclaim ... old old bird ... but she's got TLC from me all the way ...Originally posted by Kuali Baba:Awww...

a buick .... hmmmm ....Originally posted by skid:If jetta drives an "auntie" car i'm not sure what mine (parents) would be. It's a 1994 Buick Le Sabre. On rare occasions i drive my Father's 2002 Chevrolet 2500 4x4 pickup.
The Buick is a nice car...not sporty at all but good for getting you where you want to go. The farthest I've driven in it is to my Cousin's farm in Montana which is about 1500 miles round trip.

Big difference is, in Singapore a car is viewed mostly as a status symbol, whereas it's a daily necessity in most other parts of the world.Originally posted by laurence82:strangely, cars are helluva expensive here in sg, but you see people changing cars all the time
there is no personal attachment, like fartum and his michelle

Impractical leh. Have you seen the poor excuse of a trunk on that thing? Again, it reminds of the Nazi soldier's helmet.Originally posted by Fatum:don't think so ... even if I get the newest acclaim it'll still be more than a decade old ....

That's why Buick's got Tiger Woods hawking their wares to dispel that lack of image.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:Buick's often recalled as an OAP's car. But whent he OAPs decided that they want more striking designs, the designers were so desperate to get rid of that image with the newer models.
