it snowed heavily last night, and the roads were horrible ...
unfortunately, I drove Michelle into a snowbank this morning at a set of lights ...
I was cursing and swearing; at the prospect of being late for work, and also at having to fork out some major molah to get a tow truck .... it was so bad her front wheels weren't even touching the ground ! ...
I was wrong ...
within 5 minutes, people were pulling up infront and behind me, offering to help ...
first, a student type on a bicycle (yes, there are lunatics who bike in winter)
then an east indian chap showed up,
then an old lady who offered to help call a tow truck,
then a CBC who turned out to be a colleague,
then finally a chap turned up in a huge Dodge truck and a tow line and we pushed and pulled Michelle out of it ...
I was amazed at how many people stopped by to help ... perhaps there's hope in human kind after all eh ...
I wonder how many of us would do the same for others ? ... to stop by the road and offer assistance to a car broken down or stuck ? ...
