The life is great. Better than SG, more relaxed.
But I miss the food in SG terribly.

old raffles place at fitzroy- great hainanese chicken rice , laksa, hor fun - just like the one back home . Their char tow kway abit soggy tho .
Then there is Malayas fitzroy I think can't remember the place too well .
If you miss roti prata ...at corner of La Trobe and Elizabeth Street, you have the golden fork ( bismi) . Very good briyani. The chefs are Malaysian indians . Good teh tarek also.
I used to stay in Melbourne but went to canberra because of my job . Already flew back 10 times last year already haha. meh ...miss melbourne . -

Well. I'm studying 3D animation & Game Design at this liiiiiittle institute affiliated to RMIT.
Just out of curiosity .
For of course, reasons being obvious - it's cheaper.
Wish I had more money lah, but I'm just an average girl working to get somewhere (almost) on her own. LOL.
Love games, wanna make games. But if no space in the tight knit gaming industry then boh pian go and fight it out in the 3D movie industry lor. Alot of fodder there.
Annnyway, no big deal. Lots of people like me. And quite a few fellow Singaporeans (and a few Malaysians) in my course & school. Yay. Not lonely at all, and we're always hunting new places down to makan at.
As for Singapore Chom Chom...well.
I do eat there sometimes. Esp the fishball noodles, always always mee pok! Tried the Claypot chicken rice too...
Other than that I'm eager to try out other types of cuisine as well...so...yeah well.

Right now I'm so bummed out. All the nice places all getting razed down for stupid Thai fast food crap-fako restaurants. Sian.
Others dunno what happened to them. Like my favourite dumpling eatery. It's called Shanghai Dumpling Restaurant (I think lah. I don't really go by the names. I just walk the road there salivating. :lol at this small alley in Chinatown opp this very weird Indian rest. called "Gaylord".
CLOSE DOWN or RENOVATED.

I know the dumpling restaurant you're talking about. Perhaps after the CNY, I might organise an outing for all the Singaporeans in Melbourne.
