For those who keep forgetting which direction to set the clock during those two times of the year when they have to be changed, just remember this handy mnemonic: Spring Forward, Fall Back.

You know you can wind the clocks back before going to sleep. It's not necessary to wake up at the first 2am to change the time.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:Don't forget it wind them back one hour at 2 a.m.!

Same same except for water softener, which I wish I had. Expensive!Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:So how many timekeeping devices did you have to manually reset during the time change last weekend? For me it was:
1. Thermostat
2. Coffee maker
3. Microwave oven
4. Bedside alarm clock
5. Wristwatch
6. Oven
7. Wall clock in living room
8. Water softener
9. Desktop clock
The VCR and PCs adjust their time automatically. However, I still haven't figured out how the change the time on the stereo in one of my cars.
