On a somewhat related note, I just spent the last two hours shovelling snow from my driveway. It's bone-chillingly cold outside, but I still worked up quite a sweat. It also doesn't help that I have the longest driveway in the block..... -

I live in a townhome association and snow removal is provided for. However, they don't clear snowdrifts. luckily the last snow we had here was only abt .5"(13mm) and so dry and powdery i was able to use the leaf blower to clean off the sidewalk and driveway yesterday.

we got freezing rain. my driveway AND MY CAR iced up!!! in the evening, i took my car out but phew.....it was a treacherous drive. VERY ICY roads!
i ain't going out today so i told my boss that i am working from home today!
and yes, it was cold yesterday. my sister, currently in indiana, told me it was the coldest day since she got there.
on a diff note, i tot of driving down to indiana to meet her but wah lau!!!! on mapquest, it indicated 9 hours of driving!!!
i ain't going in winter man! -

Looks like winter has descended upon us with a vengeance. It's currently 0°F outside, with the stiff wind making it feel like -15°F.
We're bracing for more cold weather this weekend--the expected HIGH on Saturday is predicted to be -4°F.
The rest of you aren't doing enough to promote global warming!!!!

I need a new pair of gloves. This thinsulate thingy I have on isn't keeping my fingers warm. They were almost frozen this morning! -

I could definitely feel the cold seeping through my gloves while waiting at the bus stop this morning; perhaps, like you, it's time for a new pair of more substantial gloves. -

The engine in my car didn't warm up properly on the drive to the park-and-ride this morning. It's only a 12 minute drive, and that's usually enough time for the engine to reach its normal operating temperature by the time I pull into the lot. But this morning the needle of the coolant temperature gauge did not move at all during the drive, and the engine was still 'high idling' when I parked the car. -
