A good majority of my cousins are ABCs and I don't think their accent is any heavier or different from their Ang Mo friends

Actually I think unless the parking lot is those 'slanted' types in Australia, reverse parking is probably a lot SAFER than head in parking, cos you can SEE properly when you are getting out of the lot! (especially if some pick up or watever decides to park next to you) So yeaH I guess I'm very Singaporean about that.
As for ABCs.. hmm different strokes I guess. My cousins who are ABC, one of them is very very angmo, and one of them is very into the whole Chinese culture thing and all and wishes to work in Singapore.
I think the biggest Singaporean feature is still about FOOD. This American guy who used to hang out with us and eat with us is AMAZED how much who can stuff into our short little bodies and how obsessed we are about food.. (why do you talk about ... dinner when you are having lunch??) .. and of course the food we eat... he's a brave guy, he had pig's blood cubes with us. -

well, when it comes to backing out, you're supposed to do it slowly anyways ....
but ah yes, food ... it's an obsession that's almost pathological with Singaporeans ...
but chicken feet are actually peeled before cooking .... there's a thick layer of calloused, yellow skin on the feet that's removed, leaving the tender skin and tendons underneath ... how can anyone not like chicken feet ... and intestines .... and blood jelly cubes .... kuay chup .... stewed trotters ..... bla bla bla .....
but shark's fin and bird's nest are evil ! ...

Even before the bird flu there is this chicken rice stall that sells chicken blood. I went there to eat every week till the stall owner died of liver failure
It was the old style chicken rice with fat chicken and fragrant oily rice and you eat it with the chicken blood....*drools* -
I actually stumbled unto pig's blood jelly at an asian store here ... I was so happy I bought a whole pound of it back .....
they promptly gave me diarrhea ...
it's weird ... those blood jelly cubes doesn't taste quite taste the same ...
some ang moh friends were grossed out when I showed them chicken feet at this (bad) dim sum place, so I asked them about prairie oysters ... -

Over here in Singapore and Malaysia, we use salt as cogulant.
At least that is what my mum told me. She said you just need a bit of salt and I think you steam it or something. I can't really remember but she didn't add anything but salt.
She has to be right coz she grew up in a kampung. Too bad it's developed now. I remember going to the then non-polluted beach near her old home to dig for fat and huge white clams and the adults will go there to pick buckets full of cockles -

We don't know what knid of crap the chicken's stepped on and it's probably impossible to clean off the crap from every crevice of the chicken's feet unless you're cooking at home and you *know*.
Right in the catergory of :
- Sea cucumber (A lumpy sea animal that crawls on the ground and feeds on the poo of other sea creatures. The toilet cleaner of the sea!)
- Curdled animals' blood (Be they pig's blood, monkey's blood, chicken's blood. Just Ew.)
- Ketchup on watermelons (YES! My friend actually eats it that way! NO NO NO FRICKIN WAY!)
- Sotong (Maybe i've eaten bad sotong in my past life. But it's so rubbery and fishy.)
