For those who know, shhhhhhhhh
i have a few uni/colleges in mind la... tats exactly im gonna do there...scout and visit the campus... see the real life there...rather than rely on websites or pictures....Originally posted by rainee:btw found ur college oledi or not?
if u found oledi, it is best to go and have a field trip to the campus...like dat u get to see the surrounding of the sch u will be staying in for 4 years...ask if the school have a tour running, then there will be someone who can bring you around...
some schools have requirement of you staying in the dorms for the first semester or year...so if got dat requirement, then better check out the residence halls! And most importantly the dorm food!Originally posted by mhcampboy:i have a few uni/colleges in mind la... tats exactly im gonna do there...scout and visit the campus... see the real life there...rather than rely on websites or pictures....
do we need to stay in? cos i have a house there available already...Originally posted by rainee:some schools have requirement of you staying in the dorms for the first semester or year...so if got dat requirement, then better check out the residence halls! And most importantly the dorm food!
(I am speaking from experience cos the dorm food in UIUC sucks )
Which schools u have in mind?
none of the uni u mentioned r in the top 50 in the world....Originally posted by mhcampboy:do we need to stay in? cos i have a house there available already...
im looking at george mason uni... american uni... george washington uni..
so far those are my current choices... but of course... i will still scout for more!
some schools have dat requirement...like mine does...first sem students have to stay in halls to get acquainted with the school and its culture i guess...then u can move out to your own house or apts after the first sem...Originally posted by mhcampboy:do we need to stay in? cos i have a house there available already...

And if u have to stay in dorm, hopefully u will get a good roomie...my first year roomie was a nightmare!
honey... the unis in washington need not need to be top 50 to be recognized... it has a long history in academia...Originally posted by monoslayer:none of the uni u mentioned r in the top 50 in the world....

usually it is rather hard for new students to get a single room all to themselves...cos it has a waiting list...I only got a single room during my senior yearOriginally posted by mhcampboy:oh no... sound scaryy... no privacy... can have a personal dorm?
hopefully not those kind of black metal jocks i always see in television!! HAHAHAHOriginally posted by rainee:usually it is rather hard for new students to get a single room all to themselves...cos it has a waiting list...I only got a single room during my senior year
But dorms can be fun if u get a nice roomie...maybe can get an American, then it will help you to broaden your experience...
