Banking Overseas

  Hi. Im travelling to Spain almost frequently soon. My concern now is about my banking account.
  
  Can a foreigner on Social Visit Visa open a new account?
  
  If yes, can money be transferred from Spain to Singapore bank? How does it work?
  
  If not, any ways to send or remit cash to Singapore bank from Spain?
  
  Or any info regarding banks in Spain? Since Spain using Euro, I suppose its all the same thing with the rest of Europe right?

  Tell them you are thinking of buying a property in Spain... then whether or not you do is your own business right? Open with a bank that has Internet transfer facilities. But the exchange rates are better if you change cash and carry it with you.

  I will be there straight on a 90 day basis. thats the length of the visa i could have. and the second month or so, i do need to remit money back to singapore. just wondering if the banks can transfer cash from XX BANK in Spain to lets say...POSB??

  I don't know if you can open a bank account with a social visit pass. My suggestion would be for you to check the internet for major banks in spain. Click on their online application form to open an account. From the application form, you will have a rough idea of what is required.
  
  If you do indeed have a bank account in Spain, all you have to do is a telegraphic transfer. Obviously there will be a service fee.
  
  If you carry cash, you may wanna check the limit amount that you can have on your body.

  hahah spain so is exotic la!! besides the people there are friendly. they have a living late lifestyle.... they are always late for everything..and i love it!!
