What??? I thought the two of you had reached some kind of ceasefire!Originally posted by Fatum:I don't mind the sun coming up a 4am ...... just that the birds outside AND the lunatic next door also wake up at 4am with the sun ......
nope ... not yet ... I just got to know that my landlord knew about the lunatic all along ... but he kept him around cos this bummer on the dole has nothing to do all day so he's good for shovelling snow around the building in the winter, as well as odds and ends like vaccuming the corridor carpets ... by chance I got to know a guy who lived in the very same apartment ... and he told me all about it ...Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:What??? but no matter ... I'm moving out in a week ... staying with a friend of mine and his young daughter ... I'm getting a garage space, a nice backyard with BBQ, a basement den complete with bar, and a nice neighbourhood free of redneck lunatics ! .....
The extended daylight hours at the height of summer are a real boon to those who like to engage in outdoor activities after work. In my case, it's nice to be able to return home after work, take a shower and spend a couple of hours unwinding, then head outdoors for a few hours of fun and frivolity in daylight.Originally posted by HENG@:Did i mention how much I hate that? it just sucks when the sun sets at 10pm and rises at 4am. gah. I hate the sun.

it sucks when u hit a bar or club at 11 at nite and the damned sun is up. then u come walking out at 4 in the morning tipsy and the sun is STILL up.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:The extended daylight hours at the height of summer are a real boon to those who like to engage in outdoor activities after work. Currently, sunrise and sunset here in the Twin Cities are 5:30 a.m. and 8:55 p.m. respectively. The sun sets even later (around 9:20 p.m.) in late-June during the summer solstice. Businesses generally also extend their hours of operation during summer (it seems strange to be able to walk into a Borders bookstore at 11:30 p.m.!)
