Yah, I heard the rangers are pretty on the ball. In any case, do you know how many traffic tickets were issued this past long weekends? Over 800!!! And I thought they would have been tired after the raid on illegal firearms. I think the OPP are doing a hell lot of a good job!!!

you can't use a net here(usa) to catch fish unless you're native american(indian)....licenses are required for non-natives and there are limits for how many you can catch and a minimum size.....every now and then you read abt people being arrested for fishing using gill nets, usually viet namese.Originally posted by hisoka:why not use nets to catch the fish? can get more and get to eat more

those are freshwater salmon introduced from the pacific ... they were fattened up in a hatchery and then released into the lakes ... in anycase ... there's no way i'm eating a great lake salmon .... I'll stick to the pacific ones thank you ...Originally posted by littlestream:'

I don't really like salmon .... too much farm reared fishies, with dyed pink flesh ... but have you tried artic char ? ... it's the tastiest fish in the world ... period ! ...

Erm, pai seh. I'm still buying white pomfret lah, green bass. That's about it. The rest all looked slimy and scary to me.
