The dingy they book is that 6 in 1 type so they bugged me all the time. All cha bohs some more except for skipper. Sekali capsized how? They say common wor, to capsize. Got skill one to get back up. Aiyoh, but you are right. I think I stick to swimming pool, better.
so it's more like rough water paddling ? ...Originally posted by skid:I went rafting on the Green River in Wyoming with my cousin and some friends of his. It was pretty tame and could hardly be called "white water" rafting, still it was a lot of fun and given the chance I'd go again.
If it's tame, I guess I may consider.Originally posted by skid:I went rafting on the Green River in Wyoming with my cousin and some friends of his. It was pretty tame and could hardly be called "white water" rafting, still it was a lot of fun and given the chance I'd go again.
Yes, I've been to the corridors of Algonquin Park. Stopped by the picnic area by the lake. It was very still and serene. And so was Lake on the Mountain in Picton.Originally posted by Fatum:lake canoeing is good ... there are no sharks in the lakes ...
well ... I think my sis told me that there's a ranking system for the wates ... I suppose there's everything from aunties grade to lunatics grade ...
yeps .... she does .... though she doesn't like fishing like I do ....Originally posted by littlestream:Yes, I've been to the corridors of Algonquin Park. Stopped by the picnic area by the lake. It was very still and serene. And so was Lake on the Mountain in Picton.
Yah, there are different levels, starting from baby rapids. Eh, not aunties lah.
Wah, your sister garang also hor. But you both like water sports peeps wat hor?
Eeeee............Ottawa, like another other capital is quite *ahem* boring.Originally posted by skid:imo I think you should go streamie. Once you get there if it looks too rough someone is always needed to drive to where they'll be getting out of the water. You can have fun just being along with friends and you'll get to see new scenery.
Oh, have you started fishing yet? My church friend told me he caught a 2-footer. I don't know know what? Is it carps or trout?Originally posted by Fatum:yeps .... she does .... though she doesn't like fishing like I do ....
why not use nets to catch the fish? can get more and get to eat moreOriginally posted by littlestream:Oh, have you started fishing yet? My church friend told me he caught a 2-footer. I don't know know what? Is it carps or trout?
Why do the fishes like to hang out near the dam ah? We went to Peterborough and we, okay, not we but my friends caught many. He freezes them and then make assam laksa.
The girls just sat and ate and gossip.
The guys fished, played frisbies, laughed out loud (who knows what dirty joke they were exchanging), bbqed. Anyways, it was fun to see the 50 something ah peks behaving like kids. A pretty sight.
I spin with lures over here, but my first love is fly-fishing .... I tie my own flies too ...Originally posted by littlestream:Oh, have you started fishing yet? My church friend told me he caught a 2-footer. I don't know know what? Is it carps or trout?

was supposed to go over the long weekend, but I figured it'll be like a carnival at the popular lakes, and I was right ... heading up north to a friend's place to get some monster northern pike next month ....
it's $35 for the whole season over here ... not worth it to buy short term ones ....Originally posted by littlestream:Wah seh.......so you are like the guys I see in the Fishing Network lah? Wear those overall with high boots.
Wow........sounds like a great weekend coming up. And the weathermen is saying sun sun sun this week. Eh, but you need a licence leh. Can buy from Canadian Tire right? Is it C$5 still? How about salmon? Do you fish salmon?
Eh? *scratches head* This is white water raft thread or fishing thread ah?

Orh, I see.Originally posted by Fatum:it's $35 for the whole season over here ... not worth it to buy short term ones ....
there are no salmon over here, cos this place is too far inland ... there's only pike, perch, walleyes and lake trout .... plus the usual crap fish ...
yes, and they are enforced quite strictly ..... park rangers drive around asking to see your license and all that ... and they'll ask to search your car too if they suspect you were hiding some undersized fishies somewhere ...Originally posted by hisoka:need license to fish one arh? dun tell me need to pass some test also
Hee hee..........no lah, the licence is not a test lah. Just an entitlement to fish. And I think like what Fatum said, if too small, you have to throw it back to the waters.Originally posted by hisoka:need license to fish one arh? dun tell me need to pass some test also
I wouldn't want to eat salmon caught in the great lakes ... just a little while ago, there's a ban on eating fishies caught there because of the pollution ...Originally posted by littlestream:Orh, I see.
Eh, then you should come over. Got salmon leh. Fish already can give me. Eeewww......actually, I don't want. I just go to peeps house to eat.
