White Water Rafting

Anyone tried this? Is it dangerous for poor old bones of a 46yers?
My friends are bugging me to join them in Ottawa but I don't know about that!!!

I think streamie better stick to more placid pursuits like lake canoeing ....

hee hee..........eh, my girlfriends very garang one leh. One in early 40s and two in early 50s and they white water raft every year!!! The dingy they book is that 6 in 1 type so they bugged me all the time. All cha bohs some more except for skipper. Sekali capsized how? They say common wor, to capsize. Got skill one to get back up. Aiyoh, but you are right. I think I stick to swimming pool, better.

I went rafting on the Green River in Wyoming with my cousin and some friends of his. It was pretty tame and could hardly be called "white water" rafting, still it was a lot of fun and given the chance I'd go again.

imo I think you should go streamie. Once you get there if it looks too rough someone is always needed to drive to where they'll be getting out of the water. You can have fun just being along with friends and you'll get to see new scenery.

was supposed to go over the long weekend, but I figured it'll be like a carnival at the popular lakes, and I was right ... heading up north to a friend's place to get some monster northern pike next month .... -

there are no salmon over here, cos this place is too far inland ... there's only pike, perch, walleyes and lake trout .... plus the usual crap fish ... -

first time I went fishing, I didn't read the zoning laws properly, and went fishing at a "barbless" lake with barbed lures ..... and got slapped with an $80 fine .... -
