So, how are the drivers in YOUR part of the world?

A survey by AutoVantage list the major U.S. cities with the most and least courteous drivers:
Most courteous:
1. Minneapolis
2. Nashville
3. St. Louis
4. Seattle
5. Atlanta
Least courteous:
1. Phoenix
2. New York
3. Los Angeles
4. Boston
While Minnesota drivers are relatively benign, I am frankly surprised that Minneapolis came in tops for courtesy, given the increasing number of road rage incidents in the area (a few of which I have personally witnessed).
So how would you rate the drivers in your neck of the woods? -
looking at the list. expected la.. drivers in urban areas tend to be alil bit more arrogant.

I think Singapore drivers are demons on the roads ... that's why it's so stressful driving in Singapore ....
personally ... I think the thai drivers are the most courteous I've seen ... but 99.9% of them have peter schumacher aspirations .... -

No kidding! When I visited Singapore back in '03, a friend let me drive his car around town one afternoon. Talk about white knuckle driving, especially around rush hour! Not too bad round these here parts, although like anywhere else in the world, cab and commercial vehicle drivers are positively hazardous.
I'm surprised that LA got voted least courteous - I found LA traffic extremely easy to drive in. -
In my part of town, the pedestrians rule!!!!
We are pretty courteous. But we get "those" who brought over their habits from their country of origin and spoils it.
Besides, nobody wanna get a traffice offence. One's insurance rate can soar past the sky!!!

speaking of this, a friend of mine from China just got into a road rage accident ... someone kissed the backside of his dodge at an intersection, and the chap had the cheek to get angry about it, accusing him of being an insurance cheat etc .....Originally posted by littlestream:In my part of town, the pedestrians rule!!!!

now here's the kicker ..... the guy was not a white redneck .... he's a CBI .... irony irony ! ...
(that farker managed to piss off the police officer too, so the officer is standing witness for my friend in his claim against the chap .... ) -

Although, I would agree that it is a lot better than LA and Singapore. Hmmm... could it really be the concentration of Asians....

having alot of latino's here in mississauga makes driving sometimes a bitc h ! they drive really fast and brake really late. sickening !

Ditto here with the Latino drivers. Most don't have insurance, and the overwhelming majority of them are illegals. piang.... here i on bicycle never genna horned.... they let me go first.... ha.... (not central london but a little out..suburban areas).... go back singapore, was cycling from clementi to west coast genna horned at least twice.... hmm....
oso, here a lot of roundabouts.... but people give way... singapore, i m petrified everytime i drive newton roundabout!!
