Usually showing your passport would be sufficient. If you are from the US side, You need only show your alien resident card. For me, I'll usually choose whichever passport I have on me at that point in time

Northbound on I-5, GPSing our way to the Boeing plant in Everett. Gee, it's raining. What a surprise!

Almost at the Boeing plant. That building is the largest in the world in terms of interior volume. Boeing currently builds the 747 and 777 there.

Oops! We took a wrong turn and ended up at the entrance to the plant itself. The security guy gave us directions to the tour facility.
The tour facility, which is called "The Future of Flight", houses exhibits and serves as the starting point for the actual plant tour. It is located right next to the threshold of Paine Field's primary 9100' runway (34/16).

Cool! Kepp it coming...miss Seattle...last time last year went down to the Boeing plant too and went straight to the museum....and took pictures of all the suspended planes...including the Cosair fighter.
Ah and who can forget Pike' Market place....got a scare when one of the guys at the market attached a string to the mouth of a salmon when the fish 'spoke' to me...kekekeke

Up in Vancouver now. Left Seattle at 6 a.m. and drove for about 3.5 hours. The drive was rather uneventful, and the border checkpoint a bit of a let-down--I was expecting 20 lanes of vehicles waiting their turns for the customs and immigration checks, with armed Border Patrol guards and their snarling dogs roving the area. Instead, it was a low-keyed, four-lane checkpoint, with only one booth open and no lines.
We pressed on towards Vancouver and were overtaking all other traffic on the road until we realized the speeds here were indicated in kilometers per hour. Went straight to Richmond and pigged out on dim sum. Then we drove around the area and into Vancouver proper.
A few things we noticed:
1. The roads are extremely narrow, and downtown Vancouver seems to the be birthplace of the 4-way stop intersection.
2. There are no fat people in Vancouver. Period.
3. The Richmond tourist brochure indicates that 60% of the population of the area is of Asian descent. I'd say that brochure is about half a century out of date. By my visual estimate, that number is closer to, oh, 100%.
4. It rains in Vancouver as much as it does in Seattle.

I'm back in Seattle now. Unfortunately, Vancouver was a bit of a bust because we were only spending two days there and didn't know enough about the area to know which sites to visit. Consequently, we spent most of our time there hanging around the Asian district of Richmond. We did have good food, though, and the food courts in the various malls there were very reminiscent of those in Singapore. We did try to venture to what we thought would be interesting areas of the city, but ended up lost and driving around aimlessly most of the time. A little frustrating, to say the least. On one of our misguided trips, we did end up inadvertently driving through the old Chinatown district in downtown Vancouver; it was really grungy and run down. We did end up in Stanley Park, and I'll have a few images posted up here of that area soon.
Today is our last full day in Seattle; we'll be heading back to MN at around noon tomorrow. Not exactly looking forward to that, as I've really, really fallen in love with the Puget Sound area, despite the traffic congestion.

We're heading for the airport in about an hour for the flight back to MN, and it is not without a touch of sadness that I am leaving Seattle.
Will post more pictures when I get back to (ugh) Minnesota.
