LS,
Mr. Jetta here with some of the best places I would recommend (in no particular order)...
A baseball game. no visit to America would be complete without catching a baseball game (it's completely different than watching it on tv). The games usually last about 3 hrs or so and are usually in the early evening (except on sunday). Here is a link to Seattle's team (

Ivar's restaurant. It's down on the waterfront (near the ferry's). It's a classic seafood restaurant (check out the bucket of clams! mmmmmm!). Here's the link
www.ivars.netSpeaking of ferry's... They'll take you from on side to the other (duh), but the ride itself is the best part. However it can get expensive (a few dollars per person and I cannot remember how much for the car).
The Boeing Airplane Museum isn't in Everett. It's just south of the baseball stadium on Alaskan Way. Or least it used to be. I was just checking my facts, and nowhere on the web page does it mention the "red barn" museum which was home to the first boeing plant (and later turned into a museum).
As mentioned earlier, the Pike Place Market.
If you still have time, ya gotta visit the Space Needle (and either the Science Center, or the Amusement park, both at the foot of the Needle).
One thing I forgot to ask. What month are you planning to visit? If you ask me, the best time is either the beginning of August or the end of August. The beginning has Seafair. A week long festival, with US Navy ships (in town), parade on friday and the ever popular hydroplane races on sunday. But the end of August has the Puyallup Fair in (duh) Puyallup. It has a bigger draw of people than the State fair has. The Beach Boys have played there every year since I can remember (and still do). Other famous names also put in appearances, but the two main attractions are the scones (with the freshest raspberry jam (hmmmm, raspberry jam on hot scones!!!!), and the cheeseburgers topped with Walla Walla sweet onions (almost a whole grilled onion on each burger).
Well, if this isn't enough, let me (or my wife) know, and I'll jot down some more.
Mr. Jetta
