when i was in melbourne, we made legendary tom yam noodles!
i'd pop into the (of all places) Vietnamese/Chinese provision shop and buy a bottle of the tom yam paste...
the dudes would go buy a pile of instant noodles without the flavouring... and a heck of a lot of spicy meatballs and whatever the heck they wanted inside the soup...
we usually make a huge pot and a lot of people join in to eat.. feeds about 15 to 20 -
talking about vietnamese provision shops makes me think of their beef pho ! ...

can get at Viet-Thai...

and bean sprouts.. lemon.. and their fried chilli...
use the chilli oil and fried chilli in the soup... in winter, it's a godsend!
p.s. banana, gotta show you where to get that stuff in singapore.. if you love beef noodles, you'll LOVE this! -

Looks like our first sub-zero day in Minnesota this winter has arrived. It's currently -6ºF (that's about -21ºC for the metric-centric among you) outside. That's cold enough to freeze nasal hair with each intake of breath through your nose.
(Fortunately, your eyelids don't freeze shut until it gets down to around -20ºF.)
Littlestream and Fatum, since both of your are farther north, I'm assuming it's even colder where you are. Stay warm! -

It is getting brrrr......COLD but not your kind of temperature leh. We are having a high of minus 14, with the windchil, otherwise, it is about minus 4. I was reading from my new Mazda. Yeap, it came with a thermometer reader.
Hey, MG..........I am liking my new Mazda. Drives very well. I must say better than my Elantra although I did like my Elantra previously.

LS... so good to hear that u got new car.... me oso thinking of gettnig a used car here... just something that can take me to go see places during weekends... but then.... car insurance, petrol, tax... all beri ex.... *sigh*... just told my colleagues that i may need to save for another 3 months to buy any cars....
