To be honest, I cannot remember. We've had a number of really cold winters in the past decade.Originally posted by littlestream:MG, was it in '94 or '95, it was so cold, the cows had their ears dropped off due to frost bite. Do you remember that news? Was it in MN or Philadelphia?
Hee hee.........but depending on which part lah. Toronto still bearable lah. Quebec is colder. And we still have Alberta and those Territories up north.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:To be honest, I cannot remember. We've had a number of really cold winters in the past decade.

Ben, won't die lah. Your dwellings should be well insulated. Just bundle up, remember your mits. Your ears and neck. Keep them warm too. You will gain more experience on winter dressing as you go along. Always check CP24 for weather updates.Originally posted by ben1406:ok ! looks like im gonna die when winter comes ! ahaha ! i'm feeling cold already & it's only what 9 deg at night now !

Well, mine is the really thin leather-look alike type. So far okay. I know which one you have. The kinds that get moldy is it? Yikes. Yah, you go wash it all this weekend. Got to prepare bundle-up attire liao.
I got to plant the tulip bulbs this weekend. Hopefully my old bones will cooperate.
You are right. The flu shots we get will not work for the current bird flu. Aiyoh, I heard the technical/medical terms on City TV lah but cannot remember one. Just know it doesn't work de dio lah.Originally posted by Fatum:with the new bird flu flying around i think the old flu shots will be useless too, no ? ....

Yeah, you are right. No, I didn't wear them for vanity reasons. I only have those 'cos I can't imagine driving in those ski gloves. Hubby always asked me to get another pair. Like a really good one that keeps my fingers warm type. Eh, I very frugal lah.Originally posted by Fatum:leather gloves aren't really good for much except for looking good ....

Talk about frugal, hey, C$ gaining strength man!! How? Your parents got sim tia about exchange rate or not? It is now almost the same FX as 1990 which then was 1.5. I think the best time to FX S$ to C$ was 1995. It was almost at par.
Yeah, tulips are spring flowers and they are perennial. I have tulips in my front lawn for the past 6 years. Was out shopping and saw the bulbs on sale. So, bought this lot for my backyard.
In any case, this is a solid investments. You will reap your returns and I am sure your parents will be very pleased. Sometimes, we don't gain immediately but is accummulated somewhere else.Originally posted by Fatum:yups ... it's a bit hard on my folks' pockets ... when i pay my tuition it was 1.40 .... but i'm in my final year so the hemorrhage won't last much longer ....
