2day I had a horrid time
It was last day of campus..there had this Garden Party thing..
was driving out of the campus driveway onto the main road.. I was 'attacked' by hoons.. (or drunk ang mohs..) opened my passenger door and asked "Can u give us a ride to the pub?"....i tot..since pub just 1km away..shud be ok...
surprise surprise...7 people cramped into my car.. (including my boot). I tot..wtf.. so I quickly sped down to the pub to get rid of them asap. In addition to that..guy at passenger seat kept honking at everyone on the way to the pub till i told him off..
heck..wat a day. I wished i had an electric stunner.. -
Yikes, alexsku.........that sounds scary. Fortunately, it was a no-incident. My doors are always locked, by the way. I have this phobia about stopping at traffic lights and people at the bus stop jump in. Yeah, strangely, don't know why. Toronto's bus stops are at junctions. For ease of road crossing bah.

i thought of locking my doors... n it was at a junction before goin 2 the main road..wth.. they are a rowdy bunch as well..sigH~

I don't know about you, but if a total stranger opened my car door while I was stopped in traffic, he'd be looking down the barrel of my CZ 100. And I'm being totally serious here. It's just not worth the risk.

i do not know them at all...they jus go to the same campus as me..its just that im waiting for cars to pass so i zip across the opposite lanes..and they happen to be walking in my direction........i knw its unwise..but i was kinda trapped...there were many of them walking down the road..if i suddenly reversed, i may hit someone..if i suddenly go forward, i may crash into an oncoming car..Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Were you acquainted with the people who piled into your car? Oh really? Okay, I may try it. The thing about boiling them, I used the chicken "oil" and stock to cook the rice you see? But now, there is that S'pore product, Kee's chicken rice. i use the stock to make rice too .... if i'm steaming chicken for only me and my homies, I would use the built in steamer tray that comes with most rice cookers nowadays .... i put the chicken on top, and the rice below ... so all the chicken juices will permeate straight down .... saves a lot of time ! ...
okay, here's the recipe for steamed chicken rice, in small portions,
to make larger portions like a whole chicken, just use a conventional steamer,
1. Marinate chicken thighs or quaters in light soy sauce, a bit of salt, sesame seed oil .. let it sit for around half an hour to soak in the juices,
2. wash the rice, add salt, garlic cloves, sliced ginger, and pandan leaves if you can get them (frozen ones can be found at asian supermarkets ), plus oil and salt, put the steamer tray with the chicken on top, add a few loose pieces of garlic and ginger slices,
3. press the cook button and your done ! ...
next up i'll post the recipe for making chicken rice chilli ! .... -
