Side story: while my friend and I were there, we struck up a conversation with a group of students. When they found out we were alumni of the school, they invited us into the cafeteria and bought us lunch! We had a really good time reminiscing about our student years there; that whole experience brought back some really powerful memories.

During my time, the technical classes at Swiss Cottage were held before the regular afternoon classes at the ACS Barker Road campus, so we only had to make one journey between the two schools.

That HongKong noodle like ee mee? Stir fry with chye sim, oyster king mushrooms (taste like abalone), shrimps and eggs. Hmm....yummy. Nice.
Now, eat too much liao. Feel so bloated. Better go for a walk. But it is coming. Sun is setting at 6ish. Do you hear old man winter knocking on your door yet? -

(Tip: Watching auroras should not be a group activity .... but a couple thingy ..... though i've always watched it alone ...

Was there a hard freeze overnight in your area too? I had to turn on the furnace this morning for the first time this season. And we all know what natural gas prices are going to be like this winter, right?

No freeze. Still nice at 14. In fact, we slept with air conditioning last night. Yeap, natural gas price hike on CNN. Does it apply to us as well? -

I don't know if Canada will experience higher natural gas prices, since you guys actually export the stuff to the US. The frikkin' greedy utility companies are telling consumers here to prepare for a price increase of up to 70%. As if my heating bills from last winter weren't high enough already.

How about emigrate to Alberta? They are the ONLY debt-free province and they do not have provincial sales tax (PST). And that's the energy state too. But their winter can be brrrrrrr.............EXTREMELY COLD. If not for the weather, I think we would have called Alberta home. They have the rockies, banff, lake louise. And reasonable driving distance to British Columbia to Whistler, blah, blah.......you know the rest. -

We bought a bag of tulips bulbs and will soon be planting them in the backyard. Hence, hopefully next Spring, I will have tulips both in my front lawn and backyard.
