For a minute there, you gave me interesting thoughts.Originally posted by littlestream:Do Not Disturb
Huh? Really ah?Originally posted by jetta:I lurve lurve lurve washing cars. Maybe I should get a job washing cars?
How much are car washes where you are? The free wash you get, machine or hand wash? I prefer hand wash. In Japan, they have Ladies Day. You get a free car wash (500yen only!! who says Japan's expensive? ) when you pump 1000yen worth of gas.
Milo jiak por but heaty also leh. I would like cold milo. I'm a coffee person though. Still, for vanity reasons, I limit myself to one cup a day only. Unless gatherings then boh pian, maybe 2 cups lah.Originally posted by jetta:Neither. Milo's my poison.
How come I am not surprise?Originally posted by jetta:For a minute there, you gave me interesting thoughts.
My friend had a bad experience with a touchless wash. Car exited with a long scratch right down the hood. I still prefer to wash it myself. I find it therapeutic, especially with the radio accompanying me. Bliss.Originally posted by littlestream:Huh? Really ah?
Hmm....I think the regular wash is about C$7.50. And then, a thorough one for about C$11? It is touchless wash ah. The drive-through type.
Ladies Day ah? Then, guys dressed up as Ladies for the discount or not?
I hate coffee. From the smell to the taste, bleh. No offence. I can remember waking up to the smell of Nescafe when I was growing up. Gimme soy milk or milo anytime.Originally posted by littlestream:Milo jiak por but heaty also leh. I would like cold milo. I'm a coffee person though. You know, jetta? You are rich in life's experience. Lived and tasted many different lifestyles and cultures. Good for you!!!Originally posted by jetta:My friend had a bad experience with a touchless wash. Car exited with a long scratch right down the hood. I still prefer to wash it myself. Japan is interesting. The first time I was there I didn't know the inside scoop. It was much better the second time around because of my students. They showed me many places and exposed me to many things I would never have known about. I kinda miss living there sometimes more for the food and the events than anything else.

Cannot stand ang mo soy milk. Whenever we move, the first thing we look for is Yeo's soy milk and Milo. I found Milo in Japan but ouch! expensive! 438yen for 500g. (US$4.30 +/-) The base commissary stocked the Vitasoy soy milk so we made do with that. My daughter doesn't like milk so by hook or by crook I had to find soy milk that she would take. When we got here, I found the Ranch 99 again so I'm happy. So you know what I have to do when I move up to Seattle.Originally posted by littlestream:I know. It can be pretty strong for some.
You drink soya milk also ah? The tng lang one or ang moh one? I drink a glass each day. Wonder if I should opt for no-sugar added type. But then, will taste awful. The beverage that I can without sugar are coffee and tea. Other than that, it has to be sweet otherwise, boh taste ley. Hor?
In spurts one, that forum. You likee? Lots of nice recipes, no?Originally posted by littlestream:jetta, your that kitchen forum quite quiet hor? boh lang one leh
Funny you should ask. This has been a point of contention with granny. We know the area because we lived there before, so it's just looking for a house at the right price. Preferably move right in. Hubby's talking to personnel today. Hopefully we'll hear good news. *Fingers and toes crossed*Originally posted by littlestream:Yeah, look for Ranch 99.
I think it will be nice to be up in Seattle. Okay, minus the fact that your inlaws and outlaws are there. But I think it will be nice.
So, you have what? Another 3 months before you move? Are you going with a rental first? And then look see before you buy?
Yah like it. Closer to the festivities, I will visit more often for the recipes.Originally posted by jetta:In spurts one, that forum. You likee? Lots of nice recipes, no?
Everyone's nice there. That was one of our criteria for new members - Must be nice.Originally posted by littlestream:Yah like it. Closer to the festivities, I will visit more often for the recipes.

It'll be okay. We'll make the most of it. At least I have 3 good friends there, not like here, zero. The year without hubby will fly by.
Yah, I noticed that I am classified as baby member.Originally posted by jetta:Everyone's nice there. That was one of our criteria for new members - Must be nice.

Got support system, lagi best. While we can be independent and all, but once in a while, we do need some help and muscles.
If hubby is away, don't worry. Got online friends mah. All will be well. And you will be doing some part time job right? And your daughter is old enough to stay home so you can go out too.
The "official" age for kids to be allowed to stay home alone is 12. What about US?
