I think this morning, my hubby may have wished we lived in a condo. We got snow but not enough to revv up the snowblower. So, he had to use the shovel to clear the snow. Not nice. I think he was a bit grouchy.
Anyways, getting in needed more attention and I am feeling so tired already although the drive was only half an hour. My part of town, some road were not cleared but it was not that nasty. But upon entering Metro Toronto, oh, the streets were nice.
Drags........I am thinking about the drive home now. Heard, there's going to be more snow starting this afternoon. Craps.

Well, I do get what I wrote. I took an hour to get home although I should still count myself lucky and blessed. Well, it looked like blizzards to me. Don't know what the weathermen calling it.
At one point, we were driving at 20km. Anyways, I should thank God. Today is still considered mild.
When I got home, there was like, I don't know, between 6 to inches of snow in my backyard. Did a little shovelling, actually, just the deck, so hubby don't have to work so hard when he gets home.
And then made us some nice dinner. Nasi Lemak. Got leftovers otah. Leftover ikan bilis sambal in the freezer and then fried some eggs. Now, too stuff to even walk around.
Hey, MG....read you found a neat place downtown St Paul. Got your fill of chicken rice eh? Well, I had a new find too. Well, not exactly new, just that I didn't know they serve rojak. Tried it yesterday and it was good.
How come S'poreans overseas don't crap here one? -

I just checked the weather forecast, and it looks like we'll be back in the single digits (Farenheit, that is) for overnight temps by the middle of the week. Oh well, the 'warm' weather was nice while it lasted...
Yah, a good friend mentioned that a Asian restaurant, called The Peninsula, opened in downtown Minneapolis not too long ago. We went there last Saturday, and noticed the menu included some distinctly Malaysian and Singapore dishes. The big surprise was that they had Hainanese chicken rice on their menu too! It was a tad expensive (US$10 for a two-serving portion), but I decided to give it a try. Next surprise: it was actually pretty authentic, right down to the ginger and red chili sauces on the side. It only came with two small bowls of the 'traditional' chicken rice steamed in chicken fat, though. I actually wouldn't mind heading back there again next weekend--let's see if I can con someone else to tag along for company!
I too am wondering why more overseas Singaporeans aren't posting here. Are there better fora for such people elsewhere??? -

Actually the ice on the lake is pretty thin. We have one mishap. I have not been out a lot so not sure if skaters are heading to the lake though. The mishap was of a snowmobile.
As a pre-teen and teenager, I skated quite a bit in S'pore. But over here? Not even once. I've been up to the ski resort a few times but never ever ski, nor snowboard. The mildest of all which my friends claimed is tubing. But that, I'm not even trusting them.

Yeah, I think US$10 for 2 is not too bad. Well, write and tell about the rest of the menu that you try when you next visit, MG.
It is still cold but my faithful Eddie Bauer is keeping me nice and warm.
