Oh dear, you sure are one busy guy. But maybe because it is pretty quiet over at your end is it?Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:No, lah! My blardy Java classes continue right through March and I have to balance this with my regular office responsibilities, so there's hardly any time to log onto SGF. Until then, I shall only be able to make intermittent appearances in here.
I forgot about CNY until one of my non-Chinese friends (of all people) reminded me about it. No celebrations here, but I'll bet your family and you were out visiting friends and relatives, right? What do they call it in Cantonese? Pai nin, right?
I'm hoping that the situation with your eye is improving.

Our organization is in the midst of a multi-million dollar effort to port all of the code of its flagship product from Natural/ADABAS to Java. Accordingly, we've hired consultants to help with the code migration and conduct intensive all-day Java training classes three days a week into March. Management expects us to be able to start pumping out production-ready Java code at the conclusion of the training. Given the aggressive timeline and the fact that management expects us to discharge our regular responsibilities while attending the training, I don't think this is going to be possible.
Java programmer certification from Sun is the farthest thing from our minds now.
A lot can happen in the next six weeks. Like several record-setting snowstorms.Originally posted by littlestream:Happy Groundhog Day!!!!

According to weather historians, this past January was apparently the warmest on record for Minnesota since 1846. No complaints from me about that!Originally posted by littlestream:*touch wood*
Hey, we are having a high of plus 8 today. And the rest of the week is on the plus side too although low plus.
But I was reading Fatum's comment about not trusting weathermen?
And you know? The ice is too thin on the lake for any snowmobiling activity.
fixing dinner now also .... waiting for spaghetti to boil ...Originally posted by littlestream:What a treat.......the house to myself!
Yet again, fix a "singles" dinner. A packet of QQ noodles with four sui gao and an egg.
What's for dinner, MG and Fatum?
I've watched the film before ... it's a pretty good film, but I know the thingy will probably end up being hijacked by some rabidly pro-palestinian and anti-isreali academics and students .... but I know who made those samosas, and they are good ! ...Originally posted by littlestream:Wow, sounds like a tasty and healthy dinner you are whipping up.
Forget about the film, just go for the samosas.
Now, watching Entertainment Tonight!
