Yeah, we got a couple of inches of light snow overnight. Not enough to choke up the thoroughfares, but enough to make driving this morning a bit of an adventure.

I dare not take the toilet pic....would rather not be reminded of some of them. I actually wrote a summary (for my colleagues) about the 5 or 6 types of toilets in China which I'd experienced, e.g. those without walls, with walls but no doors, with low walls but no doors, the longkang strip, those by natural decomposition, etc. -

Your best bet is to have a pair of ear plugs handy on the flight. It makes a huge difference in maintaining your sanity when you get to your destination. -

This year, we'll probably do a special trip to western Europe....special bec. it will be a package tour where we would be herded like sheep (for once)! Wahahaa!! Going to Europe will only get us one stamp in our passport, hor? -

Last night, I asked the SO which package (12/15/18 day) he would like, and he said 18 D would be nice. Then I said: "That will cost min. S$4000 per pax excl. some meals and shopping". He reacted as if he was jolted with an electric shock.
