it snowed in London today for an hour.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Did you score on any after-Christmas sales?
I headed out to Wal-Mart early Monday morning to check out the sales too. They were discarding their Christmas items at 50% off, so I picked up ten 2-pound tins of Danish butter cookies for $0.98 each! That should be enough to last me, oh, a month!
It'll be difficult, but I promise to try my best!Originally posted by BrUtUs:sound like a good deal... u gonna eat cookies for a month?
You'd better go quick, before all the post-X'mas bargains are snapped up!Originally posted by HENG@:it snowed in London today for an hour.
should be going out the next couple of days to cash in
same here, but after snow, rain, then ice, and stop then the cycle repeats...Originally posted by HENG@:it snowed in London today for an hour.

Any "damage" on the waistline from your Christmas indulgence?
Hee hee........you paid tax? Good for you!!! Meaning you did contribute to CPP? Consider that "investment" for your retirement years. But Fatum, if you report an income, I believe you do qualify for a refund on your GST?Originally posted by Fatum:where did you go, streamie ? ..
Santa ran off after extracting his yearly tax from my pocket ...

Oh, I didn't go anywhere. I took vacation days to cook, entertain, socialize and unwind. Oh, not forgetting..........CLEAN HOUSE!!!! It was a good break although a bit tired from seeing the same old people already. We took turns to each other houses. After a while, I sort of ran out of topics.
After the new year, I am taking a couple of days off to clean house (yes, again). Well, sort of take down the decorations and stuff. Oh, and I am hosting the final dinner of the year, yeap, Dec 31. Ringing in the new year is an annual affair at my humble home.
And you? Did anything? Must be recuperating after your exams eh?
Wah, so lucky ah. I guess you had turkey for the whole week. I'm not much of a turkey person but my girlfriend told me if she bought a turkey, she ended up with turkey sandwich, turkey stew, turkey salad, turkey pies....... I thought that was funny.Originally posted by Fatum:yah ... last paper was only on the 20th ... but at least I'm quite ok with my results this term ... Ah, never mind. Hibernate then fully charged for school re-opens. What about your flatmates? Have they gone home to their parents? Not hanging out with any of your schoolmates?
