how do you guys deal with your hair during winter ? ... wearing a toque or pulling the jacket hood over my head messes up my hair ... so i'll go to class looking like i've just woken up ... but I'll get frost bite on my ears if i don't wear one ...
my solution is to wrap a scarf around my head when i go to school ... and to wear a toque (a full face ski mask on the worst days) when i head home ....
but it's like -20+ celsius right now ... and my hair is often semi frozen by the time i get to school ... so that quite isn't the solution either ...

Any kind of headgear that provides adequate protection from extreme cold is invariably going to muss your hair up. Your best bet would be to keep your hair short and use whatever headgear feels most comfortable to you.Originally posted by Fatum:speaking of ice ups ....

On bitterly cold days like today (-10º Farenheit), I just pull the hood of my parka over my head; keeping my head warm takes precedence over not mussing my hair. -
