The culture shock for me was minimal, if any. It's not as if we're hailing from a backwater, third-world country; Singapore is fairly westernized by international standards, and everyone living there would have some degree of exposure to western culture. The many Singaporeans who vacation overseas would also experience this culture first-hand.

Normally, culture shock happens when you are not prepared to embrace a new way of life. I've seen angmohs having culture shock here too..
