Ohhh...so you're a Wolverine? Ahhh....Yes, our annual football game really does divide the state in half, but then again, it's a great opportunity to make money by placing bets.Originally posted by rainee:my campus is a big enemy with ur campus when it comes to football i tink...
when there is a match between them, you can see students here wearing t-shirt that says "Muck Fichigan"
I am not a Wolverine...I am from a state across yours, separated by the Lake MichiganOriginally posted by singaporesodapop:Ohhh...so you're a Wolverine? Remember-- yellow and blue make green. Ummm, I meant MAIZE and blue.
GO STATE!
Chi-town! It's a great city, I love it there. Usually, I'll take the Amtrak down. Great food, people, city, reminds me a little of Singapore. I'm actually planning on going to the Chicago School of Professional Psych for grad school-- I think it's near Wells Street and Merchandise Mart.Originally posted by rainee:I am not a Wolverine...I am from a state across yours, separated by the Lake Michigan
and I still can't get over the idea of a freshwater beach .....Originally posted by singaporesodapop:

The Chinese food is pretty decent, too.And the beaches by Lake Michigan are lovely.
Not where we're from. Our version of "football" is a bunch of huge guys ramming into each other while tossing the pigskin around.Originally posted by Fatum:Football = Soccer, guys .... .....
but I suppose anything's better than Ice Hockey ! ...
Freshwater beaches are great-- especially if you need a drink in the middle of swimmingOriginally posted by Fatum:and I still can't get over the idea of a freshwater beach .....
I was born in the tropics .... I like my waters salty ...
and you don't drop a few rungs down the food chain when you go into a freshwater lake ....Originally posted by singaporesodapop:Freshwater beaches are great-- especially if you need a drink in the middle of swimming
Need I remind you of what is usually pumped by municipalities into the waters of a lake????Originally posted by singaporesodapop:Freshwater beaches are great-- especially if you need a drink in the middle of swimming
Hi Meia Gisborn,Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Welcome, Colin.
Just curious: how did you end up in ATL? What kind of consulting work do you do out there?

I started at Illinois. I got too cold up there and I move south. I went to UGA (Go Dawgs!!!)
After graduation, I found out that I wouldn't get real money working in Singapore and found a job here with a asset management system consulting. Liking it here and have been living in ATL for sometime now. Still missing home from time to time though
Trust me... you will enjoy UGA more than Tech... What course do you intend to do in UGA? Athens' great! Bring back some bah qua (bbq pork) for me will ya?Originally posted by coffeeortea:YOU GEE AYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!?!!?!?! GOING THERE TOO!!!!!!!!!!
