No, that sphagetti was my dinner a few nights ago, and it feeds one (i.e., me!). Boiling the pasta is easy enough; it's assembling the ingredients for the homemade meat sauce that takes a wee bit more time. -

been some time that i came to this forum.... just started again yesterday and happy to see there is actually one for overseas singaporeans.... piang.... really miss toking singlish.... anyway, me in london.... working.... initially on this working holiday visa thinggy.... but ha... looks like everywhere nurses and social workers r in demand.... many people thought i siao when i took up social work.... but that's what i like to do and that actually got me a work permit here! ha... but dunno.... dunno wat my future lies and how long i m going to b here for.....

Not siao lah. Dare dare do lah. And since do already, don't look back. Look in front. Enjoy your walk. If journey gets too tiring or heavy, slow down and then look around. snow only for 1day only... but can expect more coming... maybe up north got snow cos daily go out can see some cars with snow on their car roof... where's summer where still can see sun at 9-10pm...? -

ah, but BrUtUs...........that's the "beauty" of seasonal weather, right? I used to detest winter but having lived here for more than a decade, I resign to the conditions and try to stay positive.
Just enjoy the different things that we do during each season. I don't know about London's summer but over in Toronto? We get brown like really fast. Just stay outdoors for about 15 minutes, and we get a tan. Some like it but not me. I still like to stay fair skinned. Tsk.....tsk.....for vanity!!! -

Aiyoh, last time, we don't even have autumn ah. Just summer immediately go winter. Yes, Toronto was THAT cold!!!! And so long. I guess you are renting? Is the residence properly insulated? If still feels cold, buy a portable heater.

ha... this my second winter... last year they say not so cold... n oso last year i went back singapore for CNY.... feb.... which is supposed to be the coldest month.... so escaped bitter coldness....
rented room insulation okay.... ha.... ddin know wat other housemates were toking abuot when they say that we need to 'bleed' the radiators... ha....
this year.... no going back so soon..... want to save money go travel... so, think will b experiencing the whole winter....
i m surprised.... this forum only few people??!! tot there may b more singaporeans overseas... or mayb singaporeans r just too comfy in singapore?? or we too siaoz?? -

ha.... me veri jia lat.... come here then bo bian.... have to learn how to cook... but still veri bad cook... and nuar.... so, tonight will b canned curry chicken, rice and steamed veg... u leh?

eh, good enough lor. it's like that. we are so spoilt with hawker centres. cheap and nice. then come here, start from scratch. must learn and everything also diy.
initially, i very jia lat also. cook until kns. but now improve already lah. but now toronto flourished with so many tng lang so becoming very convenient. no need to cook also can.
me? tonight kitchen's close lah. getting tired liao. i go tar pau. at the food court hor, two dishes, i big sterofoam of rice (enough for 3 or 4) and two soya bean milk, cost only C$8+. under $9 de dio lah. cheap right? even one whole soya sauce chicken only C$6 or 7 (depending where we buy from).
actually, toronto is quite an eating haven. very very multicultural so si mi food or cuisine mah wu. and inexpensive lah. of course got pricey places but i don't really go one lah. maybe special occasion. don't need also. simple life, simple pleasures. that is "hock" (fu) already! -
