SINGAPORE - Five electronic road-pricing (ERP) rates will be lowered while two will be raised from next Monday.
In its latest periodic review of ERP rates, the Land Transport Authority said car charges will be lowered by 50 cents each for the 8.30am to 9am and 9am to 9.30am slots in the Ayer Rajah Expressway Alexandra gantry towards the city.
This will bring the new rates to $1 and zero, respectively.
Likewise, rates for a set of three gantries after Jurong Town Hall towards the city will be lowered by $1 for the 8am to 8.30am slot to $1. But westbound cars in the evening will pay $1 from 5.30pm to 6pm, from no charge now.
In the Central Expressway, the 7.30am to 8am slot will cost motorists $3 instead of $4 today. And those plying the East Coast Parkway from 8.30am to 9am will pay $2 instead of $3.
Finally, the 7.30am to 8am slot in Thomson Road will rise by 50 cents to $1.
All other rates remain unchanged.
The next review will be in November, for the December school holidays.
