High speed chase from Punggol West to Shenton Way

  A 31-year old Singaporean driver had two police vehicles hot on his wheels in a 15km high-speed chase on Monday night, which spanned from around Punggol West to Shenton Way. He was eventually nabbed for driving while under disqualification, and for his rash act.
  
  The police had been conducting an operation along the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) when the man's car whizzed past. He was found to be speeding, but did not stop when signalled to do so by the police. Instead, he stepped on the gas and sped off.
  
  The police began their pursuit, which started along the KPE around Punggol West and moved to the East Coast Parkway (ECP). The chase ended after the car turned into a carpark along Prince Edward Road around Shenton Way, and the driver found himself cornered by the two police vehicles.
  
  His car finally came to a halt after colliding with the police car. Police investigations are ongoing

  The driver should have stepped on the gas when he was about to whizz past the police. Still, he will get caught later.

  they will know who it is anyway with the license plates and he's doomed.. now instead of just getting hammered with driving without license, he's going to prison for a whole lot of things

  they also got the geography wrong as well. KPE is east of punggol town. so should be Punggol East instead of Punggol West.

  looking from which direction?

  the left or the right is the real east? 

  or isit the east on the compass but not really the east of the estate?

  punggol way(road name) is in western part of punggol new town.

  punggol east(road name) is in eastern part of punggol new town, and punggol plaza is nearby.

  KPE is much closer to punggol east(road name) and punggol plaza than punggol way(road name) does.

  that's why i said "eastern part of punggol new town" in my above reply to Fireice.

  i figured that she thought i was referring to the political Punggol East(Rivervale area of SK).

  i refer "punggol new town" as a place bounded by TPE,sungei punggol ,sungei serangoon and sea.

  If Don't leave TPE.... U think he can out raced the TPs to ECPs ?  (towards Airport).

  Furthermore... he is speeding at 185km at some stretch....Hard to control the car at that speed.

  He should have go against the flow of traffic.... then maybe he got the chance of escape...
