200 summonses in one month at Serangoon carpark

THE carpark that Ms Boey Oi Lin referred to is carpark SE12, near Blocks 211 to 222 Serangoon Avenue 4 ('Step up parking enforcement'; Feb 13).
HDB is aware of the parking situation there, and has stepped up enforcement actions at the carpark, with close to 200 parking summonses issued last month.
Besides enforcement action, we have also implemented several measures to better meet the parking needs of season parking ticket (SPT) holders in SE12. For instance, SE12 is grouped together with carpark SE13 to allow residents to have more spaces to choose from.
HDB has also extended the hours of the reserved spaces for SPT holders to include the whole day on Sundays and public holidays, and put up supplementary signs at this carpark to emphasise the reserved hours of these parking spaces.
We urge motorists to observe the parking rules in HDB carparks and to be considerate towards other carpark users.

200 summons of $30 each? So that's $6000 for one month and that carpark alone. Wow fantastic revenue.

U call enforcement to solve parking problems in ur block, but ppl will have alot other stuff to say as well

but total cars = 300
so wat if u have "choices" between the c/p?

I remember Kopi also kenna this problem...Which is why for alot of places, they started making MSCP... however still takes time, and I think in time, the MSCP will also be filled...

they should issue summons to motorcycles parked in void decks of hdb blocks. these people drive their motorcycles in and out of void decks. thats plain terrible!!!

i think they won't need to park at the void decks if there were enough parking lots for them

if thats the case its time they build more parking lots for motorcycles as well. why dont they just build more multi-storey car parks? -

They are already building more MSCP... It just takes time to build them...And some areas are already soooo packed that u cannot find space to build MSCP...
They increased population without even preparing enuff infrastructure...

and that is the truth because look at the Mess Rabid Transhit system.. there is no way it can handle the sheer number of people in Singapore now

Singapore has the highest price for a car in the world. The price of a car here is at least 3x to 4x more than else where in the world.
And we are talking about not enough car parking spaces in public housing estates.
Those open car parks have easily 100 spaces and MSCP have easily over 500 spaces. And there are always multiple car parks at HDB estates.
HDB heartlanders are owning car like they are a dime a dozen.

Two hundred summons in a month equals to about 7 or 8 per day.
I think there are more than 7 or 8 parking offenders per day at any car park.

at least wat can be done is not to summon those with season parking
not tt they no want pay, is pay liao and still cannot get a lot

I got RFID for season parking, but one time I forgot to renew, two days into the month kena summon.
I was thinking atleast give me chance to quickly renew, or else summon. But no such luck.
