NATIONAL Library Board (NLB) chief executive Phoon Chew Ping will step down on April 1, 2011, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA).
Mrs Phoon is relinquishing the appointment due to health reasons.
The deputy chief executive of NLB Ngian Lek Choh will serve as the acting chief executive in the interim.
The MICA and the NLB will announce the appointment of a new chief executive at a later date.
