  Most would have heard of the movie by Miike Takashi which caused lots of walkouts and supposedly sent one member of the audience to hospital because of a breakdown.  The movie is frequently put up as one of the scariest movies of all time.

  The book starts out pretty normal as a producer whose wife passed on years ago decides to remarry.  His associates quickly hatch a plot to "audition" for a movie where the producer can seek a prospective wife.

  All seems well and the producer becomes infatuated with a woman who seems to give everyone around a sense of unease.

  Fast paced, and there is a sense of foreboding as you read the book, sensing something is just not right.. and it all culminates in a horrific and insanely graphic end.

  Definitely worth a read. 3.5 out of 5
