Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - Seth Grahame-Smith
Hilarious spoof of Jane Austen's "Classic".
The original book is just chick-lit souped up as a "classic" which was boring as heck to this reviewer. It was originally a silly story about some guy who was "proud as heck" due to his own "station in life" and the prejudice of the woman who is quick to judge due to her own shallowness. Due to their attraction for each other, they come together and live happily ever after.. I bet, just like every other pulp romance written.
However, with this remake, the introduction of zombies or "unmentionables", senseless violence and "deadly arts" turn a mindnumblingly boring book into a hilarious farce.
(4 out of 5 for insanity)
