  Too restrictive for me. In my office which I've been in for 3 years, my collegue has only seen me in skirt once and I'm not doing rough work.
  
  Look nice no use. Not practical. The only times I do wear is once in a blue moon when I feel like it or it is a very formal occassion which calls for a dress.

  Actually girls have a lot of choices: long/short/flare/pleated skirts, jeans and shorts and guys only jeans and shorts.
