Is TV programmes the cause of declining moral values?

  Some examples:
  
  Kids who speak vulgar words after learning from the TV programmes
  The serials showing ppl who drink n drive.
  Movies where the lead actor make love outside of marriage.
  Serial showing sympathy to those family wreckers
  
  It is slowing changing our viewpoints.
  When the frog is slowly warmed, it will not notice the difference n will be cooked to death.

  what is missing these days are parents who are willing to take the personal responsibility to educate their children with values...
  
  they figure, they can pay someone or can throw their children at the schools and it is not their responsibility to teach their own children well..
  
  well, if you adopt a pet from the SPCA, the people there will want to make sure you will be a responsible pet owner.... but anyone can be parents..

  Proper education & effective guidance plays the important part too.

  I'm sure the TV can be a major influence in the child's life, but the upbringing of the child would have an even bigger influence on it. If the parent's are there to explain the rights and wrongs during the TV programme, show more concern with what the child is wathcing, I'm sure everything will turn out fine.
  
  It could be a time-consuming process but that's what bringing a child is all about isn't it? Care and concern regardless of the cost.

  You guys are forgetting..
  That kids shouldn't even be watching these programmes anyway.
  My mum wouldn't let me watch 90210.. i was so uncool when i was a teenager!!!

  hmm... what did i watch when i was young?
  
  The Banana Splits.. cartoons.. Lost In Space...
  
  and then there was manic violence of the chinese swordfight movies...
  
  was also allowed to watch horror flicks like The Exorcist, It's Alive!
  
  hmmm... maybe, parents should control what their children watch

  I was shocked to even see my neighbours 10 year old boy with a 16 year old gal watching porn...with the full speaker blasted next to my door step....
