Personally, I dun think it is a matter of accepting or not.
It is about morals.
Homosexuality is immoral and should never be accepted.
We should help the homosexuals to change, to be normal again and not to accept their behaviour.
I must admit that the society is slowly accepting them. 10 years ago, you dun see homosexual walking down the road, and if you do, you are likely to criticize them. Now, it seems to be a common sight, people dun seem to be bothered by them.
Sigh, what is the society becoming into?

Okay what my very close friend is a lesbian also....& my ex is bisexual.
But i understand that sg finds it quite uneasy to accept...as this rising phenomenon is too young for us to accept it. -

If some time later, there are people who begin to prefer to marry their pets, they have sex with their pets (which is already happening). It become their preference of lifestyle. Are we also to accept them?
I am not of any moral highground. But, I believe that there should be some values and principles we have to stick to. There should be a limit that we can go. Some things are black, some are white.
If we begin to accept different kinds of lifestyles, then everything will be grey! -

I believe most homosexuals if not all, are not born to be one. At least, until now, there is no scientific prove that homosexual are born. Most, i believe had very bad childhood experience.(Eg: broken family, victim of child abuse etc). They start to change, start to dislike the opposite sex. And, eventually, become a homosexual.
That's why I believe, we should help them overcome their past pains and sorrow and lead them into the main stream of the society.

I believe in helping them. They may continue to struggle... but with the help of those around them, and of cos, with God, they can overcome it.

my take is that pple should be able to make their own choices.
n so long as they are not hurting, killing , stealing or bombing pple up, i dun think anyone is wrong to love. n if one chooses to luv one's same gender, then so be it.
n they are not pressured to luv their same gender, luv jus happens between 2 persons, notwithstanding race, age, status...etc. i think it is more the other way around when they are pressured to be the norm and try to be so called accepted by society.

How about i tell you what i believe? I believe that singapore is so fuckin gawddamned narrow minded that they segregate chicks and dicks in school. of course in the bloody end, you get girls thinking that guys are dirty buggers, and guys thinking that girls are friggin biatches.
Im assuming that you adore the singaporean system and shower it with love and care, so why cant you accept what it breeds?

I have many gay friends(both male n female) who did not have bad childhood experiences, all that happened was that all along they felt no attraction to the opposite sex and attraction to members of the same sex. Who cares if it is a preference or not. Discriminating against a person simply because they prefer to do things some other way is just wrong. Its not like anybody is hurt.
Re the argument that homosexuality harms society, how exactly does two guys going at each other up the arse harm anyone? All it results in is sore asses. Put another way: I fail to see how peter and john at #03-02 affects Jack and Jill at #05-03.
I think this discussion will boil down to the issue of Is the Concept of Marriage Outdated?
EDIT: If anyone wants to have sex with their pets, i'm uncomfortable with that idea, but i won't say they are "immoral". However, i do realize that my discomfort is not due to any innate sense of morality, but due to years of social conditioning.
Imo, the tabooing of sex with anything other than females is due to the fact that those sexual encounters have no chance of producing offspring. As such, if the "tribe" is to survive, sex should be with a woman. Its got nothing to do with morality. Under this argument then, once these is no threat to the survival of the species, the rules become obsolete and ought to be discarded. I'm sure you agree that the human race is in no danger of dying out due to underpopulation at anytime soon.... -
