Dude, I checked, some dealers in Sim Lim, give 10% discount, student or not student.. Usually about $50 cheaper.. Apple shop prices are very stiff la.. Unless you are buying desktops or laptops, in which case, their support is top notch..Originally posted by aRcTiC_sTaR:There's no education plan for the iPod shuffle. You have to be a student, or working under the services of MOE to be eligible for the education plan. Prices are inclusive of GST and delivery to your address.
That will not happen.Originally posted by shade343:Wait 1 more year, Ipod mini 6GB become $300
This is the 1st generation blue iPod mini. The 2nd generation blue looks more to turquoise.Originally posted by Gordonator:the blue color one very nice.
Uni is under tertiary education, which still qualifies for the education plan. You can get iPods at SLS for close to the education prices, but the education plan also includes free delivery. On top of that, you can be sure that your iPod is authentic and not refurbished.Originally posted by deathscythe99:So....worth to buy?
Uni ppl not student huh?
bo ko leng. However, this might happen to the Zen MicroOriginally posted by shade343:Wait 1 more year, Ipod mini 6GB become $300
Apple prices hardly ever drops.. They just keep replacing the products with something better and more expensive..Originally posted by shade343:Wait 1 more year, Ipod mini 6GB become $300

More expensive? No.Originally posted by auringedotcom:Apple prices hardly ever drops.. They just keep replacing the products with something better and more expensive..
Of course you can't compare the capacity ratio la.. What I meant is that their product prices are getting higher and higher, lets say the g5 desktop, it's like close to $500 to $800 more than the previous g4.. Do you see the pentium computers being priced like this?Originally posted by BÃ¥seline:More expensive? No.
If you look at the prices of the iPods of the past and now... the capacity per ratio to $$ has dropped quite a fair bit.
something better with the same hefty price tag.Originally posted by auringedotcom:Apple prices hardly ever drops.. They just keep replacing the products with something better and more expensive..
Previous G-based desktops dun have extra trimmings like extra RAMS, faster processing power, ever improving OS, BT 2.0 and etc.Originally posted by auringedotcom:Of course you can't compare the capacity ratio la.. I agree with you dude, don't get me wrongOriginally posted by BÃ¥seline:Previous G-based desktops dun have extra trimmings like extra RAMS, faster processing power, ever improving OS, BT 2.0 and etc.
And why start bringing PC desktops pricing? Am I missing something?
I'm on Mac platform as well and I know the pain of upgrading the hardwares. But for that kinda of money... dude, it's worthwhile paying for it's reliablity, functions, form and speed.Originally posted by auringedotcom:I agree with you dude, don't get me wrong
My point is, yes, the product may have great improvements over it's previous version, but the improvements don't justify the price.
I mentioned PC because a p4 desktop won't cost much more than a p3, when you compare their launch prices. Another example is how a new Mercedes E class costs the same as the older model at their launch price, despite improvements. If Merc were to price their vehicles like Mac, we'll see million dollar Mercs soon..
I am a Mac supporter, but their pricing of products is killing me, that's why I'm still using a g4
I know, my examples are getting out of point
Eactly, in fact... it applies to almost all of their hardwares.Originally posted by aRcTiC_sTaR:By the way there're education plans for iBooks and iMacs as well.
