Giving up your seat to pregant women.

  it is not so lor.. like my sis sometimes will feel so listless when she is pregnant so i think can't blame them de lah...

  I BELIEVE that no one owes anyone anything. I was stunned to read that Ms De Silva's husband actually asked people on the train to give up their seats for her because she was pregnant.
  
  I would regard that as rude and thoughtless because everyone has their right to their seats since we all pay the same fare to travel.
  
  I am a mother of two and not once during both my pregnancies did I - or my husband - force someone out of their seat on the MRT for my comfort. If I really felt tired that day, I would take a cab instead.
  
  Now, after a hard day's of work, I too need a seat on the train. After all, I still have dinner to prepare, two active kids to look after, clean up my house, iron, wash, etc when I get home.
  
  So, who is to say I don't deserve to have my rest on the train and who is to say a pregnant lady needs the seat more than I do?
  
  I do give up my seat when I feel the person (be it an old lady, a disabled person or a heavily pregnant lady) is in danger of falling and injuring themselves if they have to stand on a moving train.

  Although it is a form of courtesy and consideration to give up seats for pregnant ladies, it is done with a open heart. Please do not take it as though others owe the seat to pregnant ladies. It is not a MUST to give up the seat.

  aiyah no need discuss so much. i mean if u think she deserves it, give her the seat. if not, sit there lah.
  
  not that i am advocating not giving up seats to them, but why bother go into such a dilemma over a damn seat.
