How to input chinese characters...

  Without Hansware or ChineseStar?
  
  By using Character map, I have to locate each character painfully as I can't enter the pinyin.
  
  Are there any websites that outputs chinese characters when you input pinyin?

  erm..im win 98..and i cant put chi words on my msn..and i cant view those chi words which my fren put..ani ideas how to help?

  3) type english, forget about chinese input - solved

  Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download chinese IME.
  
  Supposing you are already able to view chinese and only need input method.

  Hmn I don' think it is prohibited. But I haven't seen anyone posting in Chinese though...

  There. Seems that we can't post chinese characters in SGForums. I tried changing my encoding but it still doesn't appear.
