  Hi,i'm thinking of buying a desktop CPU and I wonder what is the current market price..I'm sry if this is the wrong forum to ask..The requirements are as follows:
  
  Intel Pentium 4
  
  Memory: 256MB
  
  OS: Windows XP professional
  
  audio: 16 bit sound
  
  HD: ??GB
  
  Floppy: ??MB
  
  Processor speed: ????MHz
  
  P.S for the question marks..do help me to fill in,thanks!

  Floppy: Floppy drives are redundant actually
  Processor Speed: 2.6 Ghz
  
  You should be able to get it for around $600-$700 without monitor and the other peripherals.

  get a 80GB harddisk and a DVD writer. That's enough for storage and backup alraedy.

  if u wanna play games AND download stuff from the net.. i suggest u bump up ur RAM to MINIMUM 512mb... i recommend 1gb if possible tho... recent games... take A LOT of memory..

  What kind of games you are playing?
  
  Graphics intensive games requires a good machine with large memory + a decent graphics card.

  Hi thanks for all your replies peeps..Ok,the games that i wanted to play are Maple and GB..programmes are those imageready CS.. but what i'm worried is the cost of upgrading those memory space and sound/graphics card..so I need to know before I sink my cash in,thanks

  Maple Story and GB dun need V powerful graphics cards to render.. but if u intend to play CS:Source with "not bad" fps... to me.. an ATI 9600XT is the bare minimum... and if u wanna play HL2 or Far Cry types.. well... all i can say is... 1gb ram is NEEDED.. and graphics card... more powerful the merrier..

  Hi ya,I saw the requirements for both the games & the programme but it's ok,thanks for your help But nah,I don't intend to play any PC games yet
