Mr. Sim from Creative has probably figured out that at $529, his new toy is not gonna beat the iPod mini. Therefore, he has decided to reduce the price of the Zen Micro to $449.
That would be music to the ears of people planning to buy the Zen Micro. But for those who have already bought it at $529, tough luck! -

Price has been reduced again due to the introduction of the 6GB model. The 5GB model now costs $399 if I'm not wrong.
