Software : Standard stuffs as other brands of handphone have ... like transfering of files, making calls from the computer (with your phone linked up), sending sms (with your phone linked up)

I'm considering the V3 too. But I have ONLY heard BAD things about motorola like:
1. spoil easily
2. lousy customer service
3. software no good
4. price drop very fast
5. not user friendly
I'm a very basic phone user too. I just want a slim phone with basic capabitilies - why only V3 has these. The price is really high wor. -

Yeah I've read stories 'bout how other users' Motorola phones fell apart, but I'm not sure how reliable those stories are.
As for the customer service, yeah it kinda sucks, compared to Nokia's service.
The software alwaZ have glitches. SMS with the iTap function on alwaZ leads to lag.
True, Motorola phones are not like Nokia phones, which you can use without reading the user manual. -

my dream hp will be the O2... packed wif functions but still look gd... pity it's so so ex... so got the 7610 instead... not as fantastic as O2, but been usin it for a month & no probs... quite happy wif my purchase...

ArcticStar - so would you still buy the v3?
I don't really have a budget. I just want a slim phone that fits into my clutch purses or pockets that can make/receive calls/sms. The kind I can use troublefree for 2 years.
So I guess I will be paying a huge premium for the v3 since I wun be using any of the functions.
Why arnt any phone makers doing this? All the smaller phones from other brands (can't recall what brand) have big antennas. very ugly.
Maybe I'll wait another couple of months and see what other models come out. -
For looks, yes I'll buy the V3. It's a good catch because of its slim-ness. Though I don't use the camera functions often, I'll hope for the camera to be sharp.
I don't need an inbuilt-music player. But hopefully I can use mp3 ringtones. This is crappy coS phones that can play mp3 ringtones would probably be able to play mp3 songs as well. Sorry for being contradicting.
However, now that I'm using the 7610, I have to regrets. I like its unique design =) -
