Playing God!
Is substituting one gene for another or introducing functional genes, as in gene therapy, playing God? Is creating new genes, proteins and organisms playing God? Perhaps, but it is all possible within a certain set of rules that have been handed down to the human race by 4 billion years of evolution, or perhaps by the creator himself. The genetic code was probably decided quite early in evolution, being defined almost entirely before the first eukaryotic cells (cells with a nucleus) over 1 billion years ago.

Both the above ideas believe God made Eve from Adam's rib
after God made Adam. In Genesis 2:7-25 we read about the
creation of Adam and Eve, whom God had conversations with
and whom God put in the Garden of Eden. The text tells us
"the Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground and
God breathed into his body the breath of life. And man became
a living soul." We also read that "God took one of Adam's ribs
and closed up the flesh thereof. Then the Lord God made a
woman from the rib and took her to Adam." As far as I can tell
from the text Eve was made directly from Adam's rib.
To make Eve, a female, God may have simply deleted the Y
chromosome in Adam's rib while he duplicated the X
chromosome in Adam's rib.
